Sign of the times
At work this morning, the maintenance people were going room to room removing the light boxes which have been used for decades to view x-ray films. Our hospital became entirely digital two years ago, and they are just getting around to taking down the boxes, since we can view films on any computer in the institution. The simplest of gadgets, the light box is taking the 8-track, cassette tape and soon to be VCR roads to extinction. It was kind of sad actually, but another sign of progress in our digital revolution
