This is what it's all about. It's about the Spirit....Make sure you read the history, because eventually if some have their way, this will disappear as well. Tracking Santa

The Saga Continues...

Obviously our Congressmen have nothing better to do.
Sen. Specter Defends Terrell Owens What little if any respect I had for this man has just disappeared. How about Iraq, our economy, the homeless, the under-insured, drug prices?? I guess Terrell fits right in there with those issues. Has he ever heard of being fired from a job? Well that's what happened to Terrell. He was FIRED and he still gets to sit at home making his comfy salary! Now if they were not going to pay him, then maybe Mr Specter has a bone to pick. Otherwise worry about more important issues. He can't possibly be this stupid. It must be the radiation or chemo affecting his brain that he is confusing issues like this.
Next installment: Terrell sits on the Chief Justice's lap!

Boston "holiday tree" stirs controversy
This country is disgusting me more and more each day. It looks as if our children will not even know what Christmas is. Merry F'ing Holiday!
A Politically Correct Christmas Poem
'Twas the night before Christmas and Santa's a wreck...
How to live in a
world that's politically correct?
His workers no longer would answer to
"Elves",
"Vertically Challenged" they were calling themselves.
And labor
conditions at the north pole
Were alleged by the union to stifle the soul.
Four reindeer had vanished, without much propriety,
Released to the
wilds by the Humane Society.
And equal employment had made it quite clear
That Santa had better not use just reindeer.
So Dancer and Donner, Comet
and Cupid,
Were replaced with 4 pigs, and you know that looked stupid!
The runners had been removed from his sleigh;
The ruts were termed
dangerous by the E.P.A.
And people had started to call for the cops
When
they heard sled noises on their rooftops.
Secondhand smoke from his pipe had
his workers quite frightened.
His fur trimmed red suit was called
"Unenlightened."
And to show you the strangeness of life's ebbs and flows,
Rudolf was suing over unauthorized use of his nose
And had gone on
Geraldo, in front of the nation,
Demanding millions in overdue compensation.
So, half of the reindeer were gone; and his wife,
Who suddenly said
she'd enough of this life,
Joined a self-help group, packed, and left in a
whiz,
Demanding from now on her title was Ms.
And as for the gifts, why,
he'd ne'er had a notion
That making a choice could cause so much commotion.
Nothing of leather, nothing of fur,
Which meant nothing for him. And
nothing for her.
Nothing that might be construed to pollute.
Nothing to
aim. Nothing to shoot.
Nothing that clamored or made lots of noise.
Nothing for just girls. Or just for the boys.
Nothing that claimed to be
gender specific.
Nothing that's warlike or non-pacific.
No candy or
sweets...they were bad for the tooth.
Nothing that seemed to embellish a
truth.
And fairy tales, while not yet forbidden,
Were like Ken and
Barbie, better off hidden.
For they raised the hackles of those
psychological
Who claimed the only good gift was one ecological.
No
baseball, no football...someone could get hurt;
Besides, playing sports
exposed kids to dirt.
Dolls were said to be sexist, and should be passé;
And Nintendo would rot your entire brain away.
So Santa just stood
there, disheveled, perplexed;
He just could not figure out what to do next.
He tried to be merry, tried to be gay,
But you've got to be careful with
that word today.
His sack was quite empty, limp to the ground;
Nothing
fully acceptable was to be found.
Something special was needed, a gift that
he might
Give to all without angering the left or the right.
A gift that
would satisfy, with no indecision,
Each group of people, every religion;
Every ethnicity, every hue,
Everyone, everywhere...even you.
So here
is that gift, it's price beyond worth...
"May you and your loved ones enjoy
peace on earth."

Stink, Stank, Stunk

I'm not so sure this smell is eminating from the US Botanic Garden. I think it is coming from the White House. ChaseDC, can you investigate this for me and report back? You will be handsomely rewarded;)

Time in a Virtual Bottle

Time Capsule Here is a cool link that I picked up on Yahoo. Write yourself an email and they will try and send it back to you in 1, 3, 5, 10 or 20 years. It will be interesting to see what I was doing on this date 20 years in the future! Enjoy.

Child's Play

Well, it didn't take long at all. The blame game is now starting to heat up on both sides of the field. It was only a matter of time until they started blaming someone else. Just tell the world the truth and maybe you will stop being kicked in the teeth on a daily basis. I feel like I'm back in elementary school standing on the playground...'I didn't say that, YOU said that', 'Stop lying, I'm telling', 'Hey! That's not fair'!
Sorry for the delve into political themes lately. It's easy fodder and lately there just hasn't been much out there to talk about.

Put Down That Cancer Stick!
GREAT AMERICAN SMOKEOUT TODAY!
Put down those cigarettes at least for today. I do not preach to the choir about quitting smoking. People that smoke know the hazards and are smart enough to make intelligent choices. If they do not want to, you cannot make someone quit smoking. But, you can HELP someone quit smoking if they're willing to try. You want to keep smoking? Knock yourself out and paralyze some more cilia...more job security for myself and all the other SnotSuckers around the world. Good Luck!

Save the land II
This is an update I received regarding the land swap I had mentioned in an earlier post.
Dear Supporter,
Good News! On November 2, 2005 State Senator Jeffrey Piccola hand-delivered a letter to the National Guard Adjutant General Wright, with copies to the Governor and the PGC. In it he says, "Stony Creek and the surrounding valley is one of the most notable areas of pristine wilderness in Pennsylvania." His support of the Coalition having "a seat at the table" before decisions are made will be difficult for the administration to ignore. You can read his letter on his website http://www.piccola.org/ or at www.savestonyvalley.com. We extend our
thanks to Senator Piccola, all those who have phoned or written to him and those who attended the Sportsmen's Advisory Meetings.
Lower Paxton Township: We would like to thank the Board of Supervisors of Lower Paxton Township, who, on November 2, 2005 joined Union, East Hanover (Dauphin), West Hanover, South Hanover and Middle Paxton Townships in signing a resolution opposing the Swap. In all but one case, the resolutions have been approved by unanimous vote. The Lower Paxton supervisors expressly cited how impressed they were with the list of supporting groups, which now represents a combined membership figure of over
160,000. Read the expanded list at http://www.savestonyvalley.com/organizationalmembers.htm.
Have fun while Saving Stony Valley: Join the "Educational Bus" in a parade! Commuters on I-83 have seen the Stony Valley Educational Bus in the Wildware parking lot. It debuted its "working life" at the PGC Fall Foliage drive-through in October, where the occupants of over 425 cars (approximately 1,200 people) were greeted by the bus and volunteers explaining the Save Stony Valley issue. Both the bus, which inside is outfitted as a diner, and the issue, were well received. WHTM Channel 21
covered this on three separate newscasts!
The bus is looking forward to two more parades: Myerstown and Harrisburg Holiday Parades. We need costumed volunteers for these parades! If you have asked, "how can I help?" here is your answer!
Harrisburg Holiday Parade: Saturday, November 19, 2005, at 10AM and will air on WHTM ABC 27 on Thanksgiving Day, November 24, 2005. The Largest Holiday Parade anywhere in the area with over 2,500 marchers in at least 100 units including at least a dozen marching bands! It is one of only two to be televised in the entire state and will have over 50,000 watching! We need to be on City Island by 8AM. Email Dale at
ibberson@paonline.com for convening and parking details.
Myerstown Parade: Saturday, November 26, 2005. It starts 4PM but formation begins at 3PM on Carpenter Avenue between Locust and Race Streets. If you can join in, please contact Jay for updates at jsaywot@msn.com.
Right now would be a great time to write a short letter to Governor Rendell asking him to "Stop The Swap†right now and for all time. Mailed letters are considered best, but emails and phone calls are all counted and valuable. See our website www.savestonyvalley.com for sample letters, addresses and email links. Expensive, time-consuming studies, design-work and expensive land acquisitions are looming. If he acts to Stop The Swap now, he can save the state, and it's taxpayers, money and save the National Guard a good deal of time. Ask the Governor to honor the Scenic River Designation by keeping The Valley intact, from ridge to ridge.
Please visit http://www.savestonyvalley.com for further information and to keep up to date on efforts to Save Stony Valley.
Sincerely,
Stony Creek Valley Coalition

Nursing home keeps spirits up with own pub

What could be better than a bunch of elderly, demented, drunks? At least they would have something to look forward to. I bet the cases of bed sores would drop dramatically. I think I'll run this by my friend Beetle seeing as he is VP of a nursing home management company. My concept would have an oxygen bar of course!!

Stupid is as stupid does...

Americans will never get the true story regarding 9/11 or WMD. All we can do is digest the information provided and form our opinions. We're led by our nose rings like cattle to drink from the river of information. This river is fed by the polluted tributaries of the American media and the American Government. It will soon be 2006, and even a cow can't get a drink of good, wholesome, clean water.

Liar, Liar Pants on Fire

Almost six in 10 now say Bush is not honest, and a similar number say his administration does not have high ethical standards.
Well I'll be! A dishonest politician with low ethical standards. Isn't this now a mandatory requirment for politicians? I'm so glad it took a poll of ONLY 1,000 people to determine this.
Now, 56 percent disapprove of the way Bush is handling foreign policy and the war on terrorism, the poll found.
Do a statistically significant poll of let's say 5,000 people and see how much that number changes. It would be interesting to see how many of those 56% voted for these characters. Those of us in the blue states knew this all along and did not fall for Bush's attempt at mind melding Americans. Remember way back to Bush vs Gore...when this whole debacle started in the first place? That should've been the first clue. We told you so!
Don't worry everything will be better soon, because they are all now required to attend ethics training.

Will someone please pay attention to me?!...

Pat Robertson warns Pa. town of disaster
Where has this guy been? Is he running out of money? Why so much causticity from this moron all of the sudden? Recently he has had an opinion about everything and it looks to me as if he's crying out for help. This year he wants to assassinate a President, and in 2003 he wanted to blow up the State Dept with a nuclear device. Does he think God will approve of his moronic statements?
Here is a nice list of his quotes that someone put together...Robertson Quotes
Read some of these and you'll see how much of a loon this guy really is!

Michael Jackson May Not Live in U.S. Again...

I'm so despondent, I don't know what I'm going to do. How could he not live at Neverland anymore? This is such a travesty. OK, I'm over it now! Well, he probably moved so he can molest little Bahrain boys & girls without the worry of getting caught. At least America's children will be somewhat safer with one less possible molester on the loose.
Good riddance Mr. Freak!

EgoManiac...

Owens
Finally someone has stood up to this loud mouthed crybaby and he deserves everything he has received. This man is by no means a role model for our kids and I'm suprised the almighty NFL didn't step in to try and do something themselves. Owens exudes a "ME" attitude, not a team attitude that we so desperately try to teach our kids. Personally, I feel harsher punishments should be dealt more frequently to professional athletes. Until then, their behavior is not going to change. It's like letting a child go through life with no discipline for their actions. Eventually you get an out of control animal.
It will be interesting to see which team is foolish or desperate enough to pick up his services next year. Anywhere he goes he is bound to cause trouble. The suspension and deactivation will hopefully put a significant dent in his ego as this guy thrives on confrontation and personal stats. No more ego boosting stats for this season! Although this could totally backfire. Now he will have all the time in the world to sit around the house and......well, think about Himself!
Wake up America!! Lets get back to our roots. Responsibility for one's actions and meaningful punishment when necessary.

One More Example...

We went out to eat last evening, that is a story in itself. My daughter received the usual kids menu and a handful of crayons. That's when Melissa & I noticed that the political correctness in our society has permeated to the lowly crayon. Learn the friggin' word, it is ORANGE. I'm so sick and tired of the laziness in our country and people's reluctance to learn the english language. I can only hope that this is an attempt by the company to keep the cost of crayons down by placing the color on the wrapper in different languages, rather than perpetuating the lackadaisicalness of our society.

Now back to our regularly scheduled programming...

Dear Allah, please let them make that field goal
Do it at home before the game & after the game, out in the parking lot or at the synagogue where it belongs. Don't pull up a slab of concrete in front of hundreds of people and NOT expect to be treated differently. Sounds like a totally orchestrated stunt to get attention and to try and make a few extra bucks for their lawyers. I understand there are specific times that you have to do this, but you can bend the rules.
