For the blue people!

Hurricane Katrina has kicked ass and taken names. The economy has been feeling the crunch at the pumps and now that crunch is only going to worsen. Not only do we not have enough fuel for our country (at least that's what they want us to believe), but now we don't have enough resources to take care of our own. I've been hearing and reading that the National Guard is short handed in the devastated areas due to their deployments in Iraq. A year ago this month former Governor Ventura expressed concern regarding the lack of National Guardsmen here at home National Guard. Seems as if he may have been right. Another notch on the belt for the U.S. worrying about everyone else, while sacrificing ourselves. I cannot imagine being deployed and not knowing if my family and friends have made it through the disaster alive, let alone wondering if there will be a home to come back to. Bring these people home. Pour some of that damn war money into Louisiana and Mississippi to help them get back on their feet. Where is OUR relief from other countries? I remember in December we were ridiculed by them for not providing enough to the Tsunami victims. BTW how are the tsunami victims doing? Seems like a distant memory now, and it is no longer fresh news, so we need not worry about them anymore.

My heart and prayers go out to those that are suffering during this terrible time and can only hope our government goes the extra mile for them. I won't hold my breath though.
Mr President, keep up the fantastic work of destroying our country and economy in the name of terrorism.

You Suck Johnny

I'm readdressing a portion of my 'Fat' posting as the responses that I received did not exactly address what I was trying to convey. I hope this helps clear things up.
I work in Healthcare. Due to the lack of prospects, we're hiring more and more new grads, and many people that we normally would not consider hiring . Many times I'm the supervisor on nights and have noticed that a majority of our new employees come in with attitudes and definitely unable to handle criticism. A know-it-all attitude in a new grad as well as an inexperienced employee can be dangerous in the Healthcare setting. New hires are becoming more and more difficult to manage, because they cannot adeptly process constructive criticism.

Are we creating a culture unable to handle criticism? Some seem to think so. What do you think? The Ego Has Landed

You're Fat and Your Momma's Ugly Too!

What the heck is wrong with our society? Everyone is so easily offended anymore, people can't even do their jobs adequately without fear of retribution. Sometimes people need to hear the truth & they can't stand it.

On the other hand, many endure negativity and criticism each day provided at the expense of their employers. When was the last time you saw your supervisor/manager? Did they scold you or praise you? Where do we draw the line? How much recognition is too much and how much is not enough?? Workplace Negativity

Something a Little Different

To lighten things up a bit, I've decided to try and post at a minimum, a question of the week.

What is your favorite concession stand must when going to the movies?

Have fun and I look forward to your responses!
